Sweet Tees Coming Tomorrow
/Our pals at Tee Fury are hooking us up with some nifty LEGO inspired apparel again. And not just one, but two tees to choose from again. Take a gander at these babies that will be available tomorrow for just $11!
Benny Stardust and Brick In The Wall now gone.
/LEGO fan, snarky humor and awesome art liking t-shirt wearers take notice, the new Tee Fury shirts are now available. Get yours now because they won't last!
UPDATE: Told you they wouldn't last. Apologies for the semi-broken link, but it doesn't matter any more, they're gone!
Benny Stardust VS Brick In The Wall - Tomorrow!
/I was just asked at Starbucks the other day where I got my shirt, and of course the answer was "Tee Fury" (seems like it always is). Well, Tee Fury is at it again tomorrow, and you can score yourself one of these fine examples of textile awesomeness. Stay tuned for the link!
Working LEGO Keyboard
/This is pretty damn cool. A functioning computer keyboard build almost entirely of LEGO. The only parts that are non brick are the membrane and cable. Check out the video, it's really cool.
Thanks for the head's up James
You Need This Tee
/Why are you reading this? Didn't you see the title? Go get this tee! No really, stop reading and go. Why are you still here? You think this is funny? Are you waiting for something funny? OK fine, Why did the baby cross the road? It was duct taped to the chicken...there, now go!
UPDATE: Too late, it's gone already. You gotta be quick with Tee Fury
Introducing Falworth Publishing
/Castle fans are familiar with the name Mark of Falworth. Well, the brothers Erickson have launched a new endeavor, Falworth Publishing. Now the tales woven by Mark and Steven have a home, stay tuned for the first adventure.
We Can Build It!
/As promised yesterday, Tee Fury has just released this awesome shirt and now you can order yours. You know you want it!
Update: Tee Fury has moved on to the next shirt, as is their way.
We Can Build It!
/I get asked all the time "Where did you get that shirt?" and the response quite often is "Tee Fury" (in fact, I'm wearing one as I type this, and I got a new one in the mail today). Well my friends at Tee Fury wanted to let me and all of you know that tomorrow you can grab this awesome new design. Stay tuned for the link and score a sweet shirt!
Ecto-1 Unveiled At ToyFair
/After my disappointment with the Back To The Future Delorean I have to admit I was a little leery when this set was announced. Especially considering Brent Waller's fantastic original design. But I'm very happy to see that it has exceeded my expectations, and the set is only going to set me back $49.99, sweet!
Did You Spot Any Of These MOCs?
/When the live action scene was shot last year in Los Angeles the producers of The LEGO Movie put out a "MOC casting call" to local groups. Many talented AFOLs responded and now their work is on the big screen. I don't know which is more mind-boggling, that I know these artists and have actually held some of these MOCs, or that I didn't spot a single one when I watched the movie last week.
How About Some Retro Gaming Action?
/I vividly remember the time when Nintendo was king. The NES was everywhere, and everyone played it. Now you can relive those golden days and do a little fun building thanks to Chris McVeigh. His latest set, which has 220 pieces, insertable game cartridges and is pretty awesome, is available for pre-order. Click through to get yours.
Goin' Live In 24 Hours, For 24 Hours
/If you're like me your nerdiness extends beyond just the realm of bricks. If you're also into designer toys, art, vinyl and just toys in general, I'd like to introduce you to Toy Break (if you don't know about it already). Toy Break is a weekly web series hosted by Ayleen and George Gaspar. Tomorrow night they are broadcasting their yearly 24 hour live show, and I'm going to be there.
Join me at 5pm PST on Friday with Ayleen, George and a ton of artists and toy enthusiasts as we raise funds for Toy Break and just have a lot of fun.
20K And Counting!
/This morning the BrickNerd YouTube channel passed the 20,000 views mark. I know that's not a lot, there's other channels out there that get that on a single video in an hour. But for our crappy little show it's a milestone worth wooting about. Thanks for watching everyone!
Mousedroids Back In Stock
/Mousedroids are back in stock in the BrickNerd Do-It-Yourself Fan Art store. There's only a few so act fast.
