BURN•E
/For the uninitiated, BURN•E is a Pixar short directed by AFOL Angus MacLane that takes place in the world of WALL•E. This version by Brickthing is pure magic, and the fact that it's built in an afternoon is amazing (and discouraging for slow builders like me). Throw in that it's all inspired by the seed part of Iron Builder and you can see why Brickthing is a contestant.
Live On Stage...
/This Iron Builder is starting to heat up. This entry by Brickthing is absolutely amazing. Not only from a building standpoint, but this is some top notch MOC photography. Well played sir, well played.
Oh Great, Cthulhu's Out
/I saw this amazing MOC in person at BrickCon, and again recently on Tested. I'm happy it's finally been photographed properly so can share it all with you. Behold Cthulhu, by the great Carlmerriam . This is serious out-of-the-box and next level building, love it.
Awesome Trashcan Bot
/The Grandpappy based this robot on an illustration in the book "50 robots to draw & paint" and it's excellent. I love the asymmetry and jauntiness of this MOC, it's loaded with character and attitude.
Miniland Simpsons
/This is so perfect! It's not always easy to capture a character's essence at miniland scale, but madoruk has done it. You knew the instant you looked at this who it was didn't you? Mission accomplished. I especially like Lisa, her silhouette is unmistakable.
Dwarves Ready For Adventure
/As anticipation of the second chapter the The Hobbit, several MOCs have been appearing. But few are as phenomenal as these. Bombur, Bofur and Bifur look ready for some serious adventure. You do realize Pate-keetongu, than now that you you've made this many, you're obligated to make the entire party, right? (and I can't wait to see it)
MOCdonkadonk
/Flickr user tkh brings us Nitroplus's iconic mascot Super Sonico. She's sporting her trademark headphones and classic curves in LEGO form here. Gotta love that pink hair.
Mikasa Ackerman
/Here we go again. Moko has posted yet another totally awesome anime MOC, and I have no idea who it is. Yes, I could go to Google to find out and pass myself off as somewhat knowledgable, but that's not how I roll. Yup, blissfully anime ignorant, but appreciative of a good MOC. Check out that captured action!
Batman
/CustomBRICKS is back again (it's only been a day!) with another remarkable brick-built caricature. There is just something so appealing about a minimalistic approach. The plan is mount this (and others) in shallow shadow boxes, and I think it's brilliant. I wouldn't mind one of these hanging on my wall.
Thug Bunny
/"Cute and cuddly my foot! Come here you, I'm gonna throw ya a beating"! I can't help but think that even with our tendency to anthropomorphize animals, they still have a range of personalities we never consider. Think about it, somewhere on this planet there just has to be a bunny who is just nothing but a jerk.
Shaman
/This is quite possibly the greatest use of LEGO bands I've ever seen. Not only do they add shape and contour, but the color contrast and design is brilliant. And that's just one aspect of this overall stunning MOC. Excellent work Brickthing.
The Wizard
/This is a wonderfully whimsical wee wizard by Lego-Man-at-arms. There's a lot going on here clever part use wise, but let's talk about the most obvious feature...best use of croissants ever!
