This is Kekmor by builder Djokson, he's here to take over the planet and maybe do some probing (but I'm sure he'll be professional about it). There's some really cool part usage and clever construction going on here. It's oozing with character and seems ready to jump off the screen.
Last week I went to a taping of one of my favorite shows, @midnight. After the taping I met Chris Hardwick and gave him my MOC of him. On last night's show he gave me a huge shout out. That was pretty awesome. If you're in LA and can get to a taping, it's really fun.
This is so freakin' adorable. From builder eldeeem comes the iconic Owly from the book series by Andy Runton. The pose, shapes and spirit of this MOC captures Owly perfectly, you just want to pick him up and hug him.
I find it fascinating seeing characters before seeing the movie. Until you see them in action and get to know them in the context of a story, they're strangers. Take Baymax here from Disney's Big Hero 6, in just a few short weeks we can look back on this post and it will feel completely different since he'll then be known to us, a friend. Nice build Cole.
When Builder Pate Keetongu posted his first pictures of dwarves just before the premiere of The Hobbit in 2012 we all knew he was committed. I mean, once you have a couple, you might as well make them all right? Well, it's been nearly two years in the making (with plenty of other MOCs in-between) but now the company of the King Under the Mountain can finally make their way back to claim what is theirs. Thirteen dwarves, all individually styled and carefully realized, plus Bilbo and Gandalf, this is nothing less than epic. Here's a simple yet effective MOC by blackzack00. Being a character aficionado I really love when a builder can convey personality with a simple build and effective presentation, this is a perfect example. The color in the ears is a bit blocky, but it sort of adds to the charm.
MikeVd once again shows off his masterful character building skills with this perfect rendition of Reimu Hakurei, the main character from Touhou Project. Of course it's once again only through the power of Google that I know any of this. But I know good building, and this MOC rocks.
I love when I'm scrolling through my Flickr feed and a model comes along that makes me seriously question "wait a minute, is that LEGO?" This mech from builder Moko is just such a model, and it's beautiful.
This beautiful and pose-able humanoid robot is from builder quý. There's some really cool and subtle building techniques here, with some excellent sculpted body forms and contours. The detailing implying it's mechanical nature is my favorite part, you would swear it's functional yet it's all just suggested.
Here's one to make you say "awww". Builder M<0><0>DSWIM built this MOC for his girlfriend to celebrate their first anniversary. It depicts him in an X-Wing Gundam suit and her in a Batwing Gundam suit. Nerd love is the best love, congrats you two.

This one just did that. From builder The Deathly Halliwell comes the Monkey King, and it's a total work of art. There's so many things I love about this I don't know where to start, so I'll just continue to stare and invite you to do the same.
Like most Americans, Tintin was virtually unknown to me until the Spielberg/Jackson film came out in 2011. I had seen images from time to time, but the books were scarce here and he had no following. But we're truly in the minority, and TinTin has a loyal following in the rest of the world (sorta like the soccer of comic characters). Builder Brickbaron is a fan though, and decided to celebrate his devotion with a interpretation of the cover for Land of Black Gold. The results speak for themselves.
Batman turns 75 this year, and there is batmania everywhere. Builder polywen decided to celebrate with a large scale articulated figure, and it's amazing. Standing over 21" tall, he's nearly as intimidating as the real super hero (he is real, isn't he?). He's also 100% LEGO, even the cape is cut from a LEGO Club t-shirt, so we'll call it legit.
The prolific and talented SuckMyBrick is back with a movie quiz for you all. Can you name the movies these awesome little MOCs represent? These are so wonderful I can hardly contain myself. I got them all except one, still pondering it. There's ten in total, click through to see them all!
Guardians of the Galaxy mania continues to sweep the world. I knew when I saw this guy on the screen that he would be built, if not by somebody else, then by me. Luckily Legohaulic came through and now we can all marvel (get it?) at him in adorable brick mode. Hmm, is this MOC a spoiler?
Any fan of hot rods or 60's-70's counterculture knows this face, it's Big Daddy Roth's Rat Fink! I built a lot of Revell model kits when I was a kid, and my favorites were Big Daddy Roth kits. This version by rabidnovaracer pretty much nails him, I especially love the inclusion of his ever-present swarm of flies, brilliant!
Builder tkh / ieyasu has added to this already impressive group of super heroes with the addition of Batman and Green Lantern. I'd say now they're ready to take on just about any challenge. I like how the basic structure is the same on these figs but each is totally unique, and awesome.
No, this isn't the most elaborate MOC, in fact, it's pretty simple. But it's got a lot of heart and a ton of charm, and it happens to be inspired by two of the greatest characters ever to grace the funny pages, Calvin & Hobbs. It's amazing how the assembly of a few dozen small plastic pieces can give you a warm fuzzy feeling, nice one Dodge.
Everyone has Guardians of the Galaxy fever right now. It's a fun film with great characters, and this is, in my opinion, the best of all, Rocket. The cybernetically enhanced raccoon is not only the most sarcastic and funniest of the bunch, he also is a complete badass. This version by Sir Nadroj is excellent.
