Wow! This is the stuff of movies and science fiction. Like The Iron Giant and Pacific Rim, this very large MOC of a very large mech is eye-popping and jaw-dropping. I love everything about this, the color selection, the techniques, the pose, the photography and especially the character. I want to know his story and see him in action.
Oh Kirby, you lovable lump of whatever you are. Through it's many years Nintendo has brought many iconic characters to life in it's games, but few are so simultaneously cute and baffling as Kirby. What kid hasn't been playing Kirby Air Ride just to be interrupted by a visiting relative and tried to explain what Kirby is (and failed to really do so). Here's a quick tip when grandma asks "What is Kirby?": Just hit pause, look her dead in the eyes and say "pink", then it's game on. This rendition by Swan Dutchman totally captures...whatever he is.
Builder LegoJalex has created just about the cutest series of MOTU ever. Using a minimal amount of bricks he has built just about every character in the series. I personally came along a bit too early to appreciate He-Man and the gang, I was too distracted by girls and filmmaking, but I know there's a whole generation out there that is gonna eat this up.

Are you considering buying a trampoline for your children? Before you do I'd like to invite you to watch an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos. It doesn't matter which one really, just pick an episode. Now watch carefully when they show the trampoline clips (aren't they in every episode?) See how the magical formula of stretched canvas, springs and a frame reduces collective IQ by up to 64%? Before encountering this device, the involved human was at least reasonably intelligent, walking upright and uninjured, now they are a cautionary tale. Before you bring one of these devices to your back yard (by the way, they're supposed to be in your back yard) please stock up on bandaids, splints and ice packs, you're going to need them. Builder SuckMyBrick is back with a series he calls EMOs, Emotional LEGO Characters, and they are exactly that, emotive, expressive and packed with character. Here's a throw back to the eighties, Inspector Gadget by Legohaulic. I was just a bit old to really get into it when it came out, but I could appreciate his excellent cybernetic modifications. Plus I spent way too much time break dancing to Doug E Fresh, and who can forget the riff from The Show? I'll just leave you with that image, you're welcome.

It's my second day aboard the new space station, I wish I could tell you it's name and where it is, but it's still a secret. My quarters and roommates are good, just like you said they would be. The food is just ok, but I understand there's a better commissary on a deck much further down (you wouldn't believe how big this place is). This morning we captured a freighter and my first official duty is to guard it, I have to be there in 20 minutes. I think it's a pretty cool ship, but my roommate says it looks like a pork burger. Regardless, I need to get to my post. Just thought I'd send a quick note. Having fun in space!

For the past month builder Dave Kaleta has been offering daily builds from Atlas Games' popular card game Gloom. No longer are they just pictures on cards, Dave has expertly crafted the entire eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. I'd say they make me happy, but that's not the point of the game, so I'll just say "ho hum" and smile on the inside.
I can totally relate to whoever this is, be he a distressed maitre d', shocked conductor or mortified funeral home director. I don't know about builder black.zack00, but bad hair is pretty much a daily condition for me. At least I never have to wear a tuxedo.
So I'm scrolling through Flickr this morning like I do every day, and I see this phenomenal MOC by Deathly Halliwell. It's on par with pretty much everything from this very talented builder. Then I read the description and find out this was built in ONE DAY, nine hours in fact! I'm gobsmacked.
How can you go wrong with Aardman, stop motion and wool? Shaun the Sheep is finally getting his own movie this year, and builder ArzLan is celebrating with a lovely little MOC of the title character. Not baaaaaaad sir, not baaaaaaad.
Once again my ignorance of anime is brought to my attention. And as usual my quick little research to familiarize myself with the subject matter has left me with more questions than answers. I really like this cute little MOC by MikeVD, but I have no idea who it is. To quote One Piece Wiki: "Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. Chopper is a reindeer that ate a Devil Fruit called the Hito Hito no Mi". So, yeah.
Movies in the 80's were pretty rad. Yes, you have some epic spectacles these days, but back then they were REALLY hard to make, and far less movies had a "2" or "3" or "4" after the title. One particularly hard to make and original film was Short Circuit. Yes, it's a little cheesy, but Johnny Five was a mechanical achievement that still boggles my mind. This bust by Shannon Ocean does him justice, and I really hope this build gets bigger and better with time.

The hours and days and weeks I spent as a child building and painting model kits are beyond measure. No sooner did I finish a model than another box was being opened, sometimes two at a time. So to see this makes me not only impressed by some serious building chops, but also nostalgic. Nice work edguy20!
Tis the season for awfully cute MOCs, and this one by Moko is awfully awfully cute. That's a whole lot of personality packed into a small holiday MOC. The pose, expression and construction is perfect. What a wonderful little bundle of seasonal fun.
